Breaking news that UT will not join the PAC-10. This means that the
Utes will most likely receive an invite. It may already be a done
deal. PAC-10 officials met with Utah over the weekend.

Does it follow that the Utes will receive an invite to the PAC-10 because have decided not to join it? I don't think I quite understand. Maybe there was a typo.

If the Utes go to the Pac-10/12, it'll be a tragic loss of one of college football's best rivalries. The Holy War has been fun to watch.
